The Bookshop Screening Room was dreamed up by Simon Shaw and Richard Naiff out of a desire for 'proper' thematic film screenings. Each short film would bleed into the next, like songs of an album, to form a cohesive narrative whole. And they thought where better to have such such screenings but Brighton, in the literary, intimate setting of one of the flagship stores of Britain's biggest book retailers, Waterstones.

With Filmspot on board with their technical expertise, vast experience putting on pop-up screenings and total devotion to short films, The Bookshop Screening Room was born.
